Thankful for You

Animated Thanksgiving Letter: Personalized Digital E-Card with Thankful Leaves and Wishbone

A personalized ecard and animated thanksgiving letter set on a harvest table at golden hour, with your own words and what you are thankful for, delivered as a private link.

When you cannot be at their table this year, send them a seat at it. A walnut farmhouse table glows in the late afternoon: candles flicker, a mug of cider steams, pumpkins and wheat sit among maple leaves, and dry leaves keep drifting down. A wicker horn of plenty spills pumpkins, apples, pears and grapes. They move the harvest aside and pull out the rolled note tied in its mouth. It unrolls, and your letter is written onto cream paper in sepia ink, line by line. Then a bare branch is laid on the table and paper leaves blow in. Each leaf they turn over is written with one thing you are thankful for about them, and hung on the branch with a bit of twine. Last comes the wishbone: they pull one end, you hold the other. Whoever gets the bigger piece makes the wish, and the pen writes Happy Thanksgiving.

How it unfolds

1. Move the harvest aside and pull the note from the horn of plenty
2. Your words are written in sepia ink, at a gentle reading pace
3. Turn over each paper leaf to read what you are thankful for
4. Hang every leaf on the thankful branch
5. Pull the wishbone (old tip: hold it near the top for luck)
6. If you win, the pen writes your wish for them. Then: Happy Thanksgiving

A warm, original piano piece plays in the background (it can be muted with one tap).
