Animated Scavenger Hunt Letter: Personalized Birthday Treasure Map E-Card with Custom Home Clues

A scavenger hunt gift as an animated ecard: a treasure map of your home, 4 personalized clues and your letter, leading them to the present you hid. Delivered as a private link.

It starts with a rolled map on a wooden table, tied with a leather strap and a tag with their name. They slide the strap out of the buckle and drag the map open (let go too soon and it curls back up, until two pebbles hold the corners). It is a hand drawn plan of a home with 4 rooms and 4 red X marks.

Clue 1 is written onto an index card in ink, in your words. On the sofa they lift the cushions: a coin, a sock, and under one of them a little brass key. Clue 2 leads to the kitchen. They open the cupboard doors, take down an old biscuit tin, carry the key to the padlock, turn it and lift the lid. Inside is your letter, written onto the page in ink, line by line.

Clue 3: at the bookshelf they tilt the books out until a blank note falls from the right one. They rub a pencil over it and your hidden words appear, like "Under the bed". Clue 4: the bedroom is dark, so they sweep a flashlight around until something shines and they hold the light on it. The box comes out, they tear the kraft paper off strip by strip, and the card inside is written with your real gift. The map gets its FOUND stamp, the red path is drawn from start to finish, and your last line appears.

Hunting at home? Hide the real present where your clues say, and every clue card adds "At home? Go and look for real." Far away? We leave that note out, and the gift card can name a trip, tickets or a parcel on its way.

How it unfolds

1. Unbuckle the rolled map and drag it open
2. Clue 1: lift the sofa cushions and find the brass key
3. Clue 2: open the cupboards and unlock the biscuit tin
4. Your letter is written in ink, at a gentle reading pace
5. Clue 3: tilt the books and rub the pencil over the note
6. Clue 4: search the dark bedroom with a flashlight
7. Tear the paper off and read the gift card

How it works

1. Place your order. In the personalization box, write their name and your name.
2. After ordering, send us your letter, your 4 clues and the real gift in Etsy messages. Tell us if it is a hunt at home or from far away.
3. Within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your details, we send you a private link here in Etsy messages.
4. Hide the present, then share the link with them by text, WhatsApp or email, or open it together.

If anything should change, just reply and we will fix it.
